The following list is a small collection of the development projects I have delivered.

Each project contains a small description, some screenshots and the major technologies used.

My capabilities span a much wider area, as you can see in my resume and technologies list.

After every Microsoft survey, results have to be processed and visually represented.

This is a Windows application, written in C#, which reads XML results and displays a simple representation of them.

The results can be delivered as XML, or imported from Outlook based on a matching subject.

An export to Excel function is also present, making it possible to generate reports with one click as soon as results are coming in.

At every Microsoft presentation or event a questionnaire is given out.

To make this process easier, a digital version was made, which uses NSurvey as a survey-framework, SQL Server as backend and ASP.NET (C#).

Some changes have been made to NSurvey, such as integrating MapPoint to visualize the results per region.

Extensions to the framework to support new question types have also been made, and everything was combined in the Microsoft layout.

This website has been made for the hosting provider Nucleus, and serves as a part of their helpdesk.

There was an existing layout, so only a framework had to be created to easily add new items and maintain existing content.

Because of the very static nature of the site a file-system structure has been used instead of a database. This has the additional benefit of reducing server load by not querying a database and utilizing caching.

The navigation is very logical and a lot of pictures have been used to keep everything as simple as possible for the user. Writing the content was part of this project.

Lerarenforum is an initiative of Kurt Meuleman. The goal is to offer a forum to all teachers of Flanders.

phpBB has been used for this, with a new layout and adjustments to the Dutch translation.

Everything has been kept as easy as possible for the user.

Every year, Microsoft organizes the ImagineCup contest. They have asked me to design the invitation for the 2005 edition.

The design has been made in Photoshop, after which it has been converted to XHTML 1.1, together with CSS 2.0.

The theme has been chosen to be as attractive as possible to young people, with a futuristic, techy look.

This invitation is currently off line because of a new edition.

This project is created for the ‘Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen‘ and is only accessible for students.

Zosa stands for ‘ZelfOnderzoek voor StudieAttitude’, and is a kind of questionnaire to measure your study capabilities. My task was to create a webbased version.

The site is created in ASP.NET and uses MySQL as a database, Windows 2000 as a platform and IIS 5 as a webserver.

All pages with questions are build dynamically, as well as the final chart.

There is an administration section where all content can be adjusted and where the database can be exported to an Access-database.

The Zosa back-end is a Webservice, to allow the creation of a Windows Forms application to handle the administration.

Connectedly is a project that has been build from scratch. The goal was to build a site which had to serve as a communication medium to students, friends and family.

The site is fully build in PHP, with a user-database based on access-levels. Because of this it is possible to display different content depending on which user is logged on to the site.

The data is stored in a MySQL database, which is administrated through an administration-section only accessible by the webmaster. Most of the pages have a fully dynamic content.

In 2004 the site also received the Communicator Price during the DigiKids Awards.

The goal of this project was to register the maintenance of the Acutra fleet.

All data is stored in a MySQL database, running on NT4, and served dynamically with PHP.

Since the main focus of this project was data organization, and one of the requirements asked for a very fast loading time, only HTML and CSS have been used for the layout, without images, making the site load very fast and being very user friendly.

Thanks to Acutra Onderhoud there are no more lost maintenance notes and no administrative hassle.
